#1 What is the “Orthographe” e-learning module?

This language method entitled “Orthographe” is targeted at French-Speaking learners wishing to improve their spelling and grammar in French. The module consists of 27 parts, its main purpose is to identify student's gaps and help them fill them, by targeting specific common errors (e.g the difference between “a” “à”) and giving explanations of these errors to improve and avoid making them again.

#2 How does the “Orthographe” module work?

First, each student takes a placement test to assess his or her level and understand where he or she stands in terms of spelling. Based on their results, students are then guided towards a course adapted to their level. 4 courses are available, depending on whether the learner is encountering more common or more advanced difficulties. The sessions, averaging 30 to 65 minutes of activities, enable students to improve and correct their spelling.

#3 Good to know:

Lessons are short (except for conjugation) and target specific common errors. Each lesson is accompanied by at least 10 questions. This module also includes “dictée” questions: an audio file from which the learner must write a word or sentence. This language method does not cover all the spelling and grammar notions of French language, but it does tackle the main linguistic problems frequently encountered.
