The Listening section is a stand-alone section that counts for one-third of your TOEFL ITP score. You must answer the questions in the order and pace of the audio. The section is divided into 3 exercises:
Section A: Short conversations - 30 independent questions
Section B: Extended conversations - 2 conversations and 4 questions per conversation
Section C: Monologues - 3 monologues and 4 questions per monologue

The "Structure and Written Expression" section stands alone. This is the part of the TOEFL that tests your grammar. You may answer the questions in any order and divide your time as you wish between the two exercises:
Part 1: Structure questions: 15 independent questions
Part 2: Written expression questions: 25 independent questions

The section is composed of 5 independent texts. Each text is followed by 10 questions. The texts are excerpts from university textbooks on various topics (sociology, history, literature, biology, etc.).
